002 Allan, Ashley, aged  29. He was a  3rd Class Waiter on the Lusitania. He lived at  99, Berry Street, Bootle, Liverpool Age 29. Parents: William, a mariner born about 1841 in Scotland, and Mary Ann (nee Gliddon; born about 1851 in Lancashire) Allan of 99, Bury Street, Bootle. He was born 28 June 1886 at Bootle in the West Derby district of Lancashire and he was christened on 8 August the same year in St. Paul’s Church in Kirkdale, Lancashire. His parents had married in early 1873 at Liverpool. His known brothers and sisters were William Henry, b. 1876, Alexander, b. 1877, Ada Morley, b. 1879, Albert James, b. 1880, Charles, b. 1883, Evelyn, b. 1888, and adopted sister Clera Eva, b. ca. 1910. The family belonged to the Church of England. In 1906 and 1907 he served as a crew member on the steamer Carmania and in 1911 on the Ivernia. In 1911, he was noted as a ship’s steward living in Bootle Cum Linacre, Lancashire. Mr. Allan did not survive the sinking of the Lusitania.
