127 Frederick William Burgess Gorst, age 28. He was a 1st Class Waiter on the Lusitania and was the son of William, a waterman born about 1859 at Nantwich, Cheshire, and Mrs. Lucretia Lavinia (nee Payne: b. 3 October 1858 on the Isle of Man; she was a dressmaker in 1881) Gorst, who had married in the third quarter of 1885 in Birkenhead, Cheshire. He was born 21 June 1886 at Seacombe, Cheshire, and was christened on 11 August 1886 at St. John Egremont, (Liscard) Chester, in the Church of England. His parents were William and Lucretia Luvenia (nee Payne) Gorst. In 1901, he lived with his parents at Belle Vue Road in Poulton Cum Seacomb, Lancashire. Frederick was 14 years of age and was an ”apprentice to painting.” He had a brother, Harold, 3. He was the husband of Annie May Gorst (nee Parsons), of 10, Bishop Road, Wallasey, Cheshire. Frederick William Gorst married Annie May Parsons at St. John, Egremont, Cheshire, on 26 January, 1914. Obituary in Liverpool Daily Post and Mercury, May 18.
