096 William Henry Edgar, age 21. He was a 2nd Class Waiter on the Lusitania and was the son of Jesse, a basket maker born about 1865 in Lancashire, and Dinah (nee Bushell; she had been born about 1865 in Yorkshire) Edgar, of 27, Virginia Street, Southport, Lancashire. His parents had married in the second quarter of 1884 at Ormskirk, Lancashire. In 1891, they lived at Pine Grove in North Meols, Lancashire. There were five children in the family at the time; Thomas, 6, Annie, 5, Robert, 4, James, 2, and Rosetta, an infant. He was christened 17 September 1893 at St. Luke’s Church in Southport, Lancashire.
