Alfred John Quin. 2nd Class Waiter. He had been born 14 February 1874 (or 14 July 1875) at Dublin, Ireland, to John D., a general medical practitioner born about 1854 in Ireland, and Emily Quin, who had been born about 1858 in Ireland. In 1891 he lived at Durning Road in West Derby, Lancashire, with his parents. He was 15 years old and was advised as a ‘clerk to printer.’ He married Elizabeth (maiden name?) and lived at 81 Mansell Road, Kensington, Liverpool. He later attained the rank of Chief 3rd Class Steward and he was still active at sea in 1921. He passed away on 23 September 1947, aged 72.
