Charles Ernest Lamont. He was a Third Class Waiter on the Lusitania
. He had been born 12 October 1886 to Neil, a railway clerk born 16 February 1850 at Dumbarton, Scotland, and Sarah (nee Evans; she had been born about 1850 at Stepaside in Pembrokeshire) Lamont in Liverpool, who had married 5 January 1880 in the church of St. Nicholas in Liverpool in the Church of England. He worked as a shipping clerk before joining the Cunard Line and in 1901 he lived at Tudor Avenue in Poulton Cum Seacomb, Cheshire, with his family. He was 14 years of age and his brothers and sisters were noted as Neil James, 20, a shipping clerk, Archibald, 18, a railway clerk, Ronald Stuart, 16, an apprentice brass finisher, and Florence M., 12. In 1905, he married Minnie Jones in Liverpool. They lived at 31 Ivor Road, Egremont, Wallasey, Cheshire. He died 4 March 1925 at Liverpool, aged 38.
