George Griffiths. He was a 2nd Class Waiter on the Lusitania. He had been born 20 October 1881 at Jackfield, Salop. He lived at 25 Ashdale Road, Liverpool. He later served as a 2nd Cabin Saloon Steward. He stood 5’4”’, had brown hair and grey eyes. He was married to Gertrude. (Gertrude Maud Windle, whom he in that case had married in Chorlton in 1905?). In 1911, he was a boarder living in Liverpool. He was listed as a ship’s waiter, aged 39. His age might indicate that he was older than he stated on his seaman’s identity card.
