Thomas Archibald Crawford. 3rd Butcher. He was born 14 November 1889 in Higher Tranmere, Birkenhead, Cheshire, to Thomas Archibald, a draper’s buyer born about 1858 in Ireland, and Elizabeth Jane (nee Ibbotson?; she was born in late 1860 at Liverpool) Crawford, who had married in early 1885 in West Derby, Lancashire. He was christened on 21 November 1892 (aged 3) in St. Peter’s Church in Liverpool in the Church of England. In 1891, the family lived at Thompson Street in Tranmere, Cheshire. His sisters were Norah, 4, and Florence, 3. He lived at 1 Argo Road, Crosby, near Liverpool in Lancashire. He was lost in the sinking of the Britannic in 1916.
