Greta Anna Jacobina Reuter-Lorenzen: nurse to the Pearl family. She was a native of Copenhagen, Denmark, and had been born 18 January 1894 at Copenhagen, Denmark . Her parents were Emanuel Heinrich Peter, a manager b. 9 February 1860 at Haderslev, Denmark, and Theckla Augusta (nee Malmquist; she had been born at Borrby, Kristianstad County, Sweden 23 August 1865) Reuter-Lorenzen. Her parents had married 1 January 1892 at Flensburg, Germany. She had one known brother, Paul Peter, b. 29 November 1892, and a sister, Anna Lise Magdalene, b. 24 January 1909. In 1911, the family lived at Istedgade in Copenhagen, Denmark. She had left Copenhagen 19 November 1914 on the s.s. Frederik VIII and was listed as being 20 years old at the time. She was bound for 241 West Street, New York City, where she a friend, a Stuart (Duman?). She was 5’6’’ tall, had fair hair and blue eyes. Her family lived at 127 ’’Al Kangeny’’ (?) at the time. It is not immediately known when started working for the Pearl family. Miss Reuter Lorenzen did not survive the sinking of the Lusitania.
